Legendary Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi on Tuesday, became ‘nana’ once again as his eldest daughter Aqsa gave birth to a baby girl.
Afridi made the announcement through his social media accounts as he penned a heartwarming caption with a picture, in which the couple – his daughter and son-in-law Naseer – was holding the infant’s feet.
Afridi congratulated the blessed parents and thanked the Almighty Allah for the blessing, calling the arrival of his granddaughter as a precious reflection of divine mercy.
"Alhamdulillah, Allah has blessed Aqsa and Naseer with a beautiful blessing. Daughters are the most precious reflection of His mercy and the most precious blessing," wrote.
Soon after the announcement, his followers flocked in the comments section to congratulate the 47-year-old on the auspicious occasion.
Notably, Aqsa Afridi and Naseer Nasir tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony in July 2023, while the nikkah ceremony took place in December 2022.
Earlier this year, the all-rounder’s second daughter Ansha and star pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi welcomed their first child.
With the arrival of his grandson Aliyaar, the former Pakistani skipper had become the grandfather for the first time.
